Kadıköy is on the Anatolian side of Istanbul. It falls in the middle of Istanbul and east of Marmara end of the Bosphorus. It is surronded by Maltepe on the east, Bosporus and Marmara Sea on the west, districts of Üsküdar and Ataşehir on the north and Marmara Sea on the south.

Kadıköy is founded on six hills. These hills from east to west are Göztepe, Fikirtepe, Acıbadem, Altıyol, Cevizlik (Küçük Moda), Koşuyolu.

Green areas, Fenerbahçe Park, Göztepe Park, Özgürlük Park, continue along the coast are the most important assets.

It has a long coastline of approximately 21 km. from Haydarpaşa to Bostancı in the northwest - southeast direction.
